Toast

"Be There"

We worked with Toast to create an anthem that shines a spotlight on the heartfelt moments that come from dining together. I framed the snapshot moments with various analog photo styles for a nostalgic touch. I designed the artifacts, which are meant to be the keepsakes from each of the dining experiences. Working with both existing brands and fictional brands added contextual elements to each vignette. From coasters to loyalty cards to matchboxes, I put on many different designer hats to give a sense of realism to every artifact.

Cantina de Alma Coaster:

I designed this coaster for a fictional Mexican restaurant.

Luna Loyalty Card:

For the barista storyline, I designed this loyalty card for a real bakery and cafe named Luna.

Namaste Kitchen Matchbox:

For the birthday storyline, I designed this logo for a fictional Indian restaurant.

Bachelorette Invitation:

For the bachelorette vignette, I designed this invitation for a Bachelorette weekend trip to San Francisco. The illustration comes from stock. I set the typography and designed the layout.

“I Love You” Napkin:

I hand wrote “I love you” and photoshopped it onto a napkin for the couple’s vignette.

Ritzy’s Menu:

I created this fictional menu for a real ice cream, diner-style restaurant called Ritzy’s. The only client-provided asset was the logo.

Bachelorette Event Ticket:

For the bachelorette vignette, I imagined the girls might go to a “Chocolate & Wine Tasting” event during their weekend trip. The ticket template and illustrations come from stock. I set the typography and designed the layout.

Customer Receipt:

For the “waitresses closing down” moment, I designed this half-receipt complete with a signature and a friendly note.

Zunzi’s Customer Feedback Card:

I designed and did the handwriting for this simple customer feedback card for a real Savannah-based restaurant, Zunzi’s.

Ritzy’s Business Card:

I created this fictional business card for a real ice cream, diner-style restaurant called Ritzy’s. The only client-provided asset was the logo.

Bachelorette Hotel Key Card:

For the bachelorette vignette, I pictured the crew staying at a seaside luxury boutique hotel. The illustration comes from stock. I set the typography and designed the layout.

Tic-Tac-Toe Napkin:

For the father and son moment, I busted out some good old crayons to create a game of tic-tac-toe and photoshopped it onto the napkin. I also designed a logo for a fake sandwich shop called Sammy’s Sandwiches.
